Welcome to Day 3!
Tip: A good handmade gift doesn't always have to be personalized. It can be left up to the recipient to personalize it. In this case, handmade cards are a great gift option.
I made these cards for a friend that was graduating. I made 6 cards, 2 'Happy Birthday' and 4 generic cards.
A bicycle and 'Happy Birthday' card
A pink and gold floral card and 'Happy Birthday'/cake card
A lemon and lime and bird card
How to Make: I used pre-folded white cards, scraps of card stock, stamps and ink to make these cards. I used my Silhouette to either cut out the shapes or to sketch the bicycle and green 'Happy Birthday' card. To adhere them I used scrapbooking glue strips/double sided tape.
Once finished, I tied them together with a ribbon and included pens and a note cube from Target with the gift.
Cost: I had everything on hand, so free for me. But I believe the pack of 50 cards is $14.99 at JoAnn's or Michael's and I'm sure I used a coupon.
Time to Make: 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the number of cards.
How neat! I love handmade cards... paper is one of my first loves and I probably have way too much of it. :) Thanks for the reminder, I used to make cards all the time but I haven't been doing that lately!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love all the gift ideas! Hope you are enjoying the 31 days so far, I know I am. Blessings! ~Frances
