I'm back! Moving and the holidays were quite time consuming for us! But we are (mostly) settled in our new home so I don't really have any more excuses! Also, I have lots of projects in my head to complete in the next few weeks so I can't wait to share them! But before I get to the projects, I saw this on another blog and thought I would participate.
Right now I am...
watching: Nate Berkus on my DVR. I love his show and I am sad it is ending in May! Even worse people such as Rosie, Queen Latifah & the host of Survivor are getting daytime talk shows!
eating: actually nothing! surprising for a pregnant chick, right?! But I'm about to eat some leftovers from our date night last night.
drinking: I just finished a glass of milk...trying to be a good mama and get enough calcium!
wearing: yoga pants, maternity tshirt, & my UofL snuggie. Yes, I have (and love) a snuggie!:)
avoiding: Decluttering & organizing...it's amazing how fast paper accumulates in my home! I plan to get to it tonight though since it has gotten out of hand. And since it's Sunday I have today's paper/coupons to go through. And the kitchen and hall bath still need some organizing after our move.
feeling: lots of jabs, rolls, kicks, etc. from Peyton! The past week or so she has had VERY active stretches of about 20 minutes once or twice a day. It's kind of comical how much she moves around at once. It makes me think that she will not be a baby that is content to just sit/lay by herself. I can't wait to find out! :)
missing: my husband. He just left for his last few days of work in Alabama. :( When we found out we were moving back to KY we decided I wouldn't return to AL after Christmas, which meant he would have to spend 10-14 days by himself in AL. A 5 hour drive at 35 weeks pregnant just didn't sound that great!
thankful: for so many things! Mainly my wonderful family and friends. They have been so helpful with the move back to KY. I feel bad since I can't do as much these days (even though I try and my body protests!) but we have gotten so much help that I am beyond thankful for! It has helped me be less stressed and overwhelmed. I am also thankful for a healthy baby & pregnancy and my wonderful husband! We cannot wait to meet our sweet girl!
weather: it's getting cooler, but it was a beautiful sunny day!
praying: for family and friends with health issues.
needing: being pregnant has shown me that my needs are so minimal! But besides time, I need to get prepared for Peyton's arrival! Her room is devoid of furniture...I do have some cloth diapers and a few clothes for her, but I definitely don't feel prepared!
thinking: I need to get off the couch, eat, organize and tackle my sewing/crafting to do list!
loving: my comfy bed (it has helped this pregnant girl sleep!), friends that love, encourage and support me, family that loves us and is helping our little family get off to a great start, sweets (just about any kind!), finding good deals on baby stuff, and getting to work on organizing and decorating Peyton's room!
What are you all up to?

28 weeks and an update
Sorry for my absence! I have been busy making Christmas gifts and a couple of Etsy orders, not to mention getting ready to move. I am headed to KY at the end of this week and our stuff will be packed up early next week. Our stuff won't be delivered until about 10 days after it's packed up. Kind of a bummer, but doable. Just means we will have to take a lot of stuff with us to my parents house! And the good news is that we will be moved in before the end of the year so I can start on the nursery, finally!
My posts might be sparse for the rest of the year (which is only 18 days, crazy!), but I know you understand. :) I do have some good stuff to share this week and I will share the gifts that I have made this year (after they are given of course!).
In the meantime here is my 28 week picture (which is now 10 days old!). It's hard to believe I will be 30 weeks on Friday! So excited to meet our little girl!
Hope you survived Monday!

Thanksgiving Recap
Wow! It's hard to believe Thanksgiving is now gone and Christmas is fast approaching! We went back to KY for about a week and a half for the holiday. It was a great trip back and we were quite busy! We spent most of our time looking for a rental house (and we found one!), spending time with family and friends and eating lots of yummy food! I also acquired a cold, so lots of rest was involved too. I had planned on posting and crafting while we were there, but that didn't happen. But I have some exciting things to share...including a giveaway tomorrow!! So be sure to come back and enter (and share with your friends)!!

It's a....
We are having a girl!! Her name will be Peyton Elise. Brett (husband) and I are so excited! We both kind of thought it was a girl, but it is wonderful to get confirmation! Our families are so excited as well. I have 2 nephews so my side of the family is excited to welcome a girl. It is the first grandchild for Brett's parents so they are excited regardless of gender! Here are my favorite ultrasound pictures of Peyton.

A Weekend Update
Yes, some catching up is in order. I didn't realize how much of my time school would take up! It doesn't help that I spend a bit of time procrastinating instead of doing my schoolwork...including my blog makeover! I tire quickly of things (why I will never have a tattoo and why I have so many purses!) so I'll probably regularly change the design. And when I'm not doing school work (or procrastinating) I'm spending precious time with my husband (we're on different work schedules this semester so we usually only see each other on the weekends). My classes are 8 weeks long and next week my final project is due. I have to do a whole lesson plan complete with summary, power point and the actual plan. It will be tough, considering this is my FIRST semester of my masters program!! Luckily, my professor isn't too tough on grading. Here's a class website that I had to make for an assignment a couple weeks ago (all fictional since I don't actually teach a class yet). Oh the class I'm taking is Educational Technology. Somewhat interesting, but I already know how to use excel, power point etc. so I could have done without that part.
Here are a few projects I've been working on during the rare times of "free time".
I made these candy coated rice krispy treats for Valentine's Day. De-licious!! Unfortunately can't eat these on weight watchers (oh, I started weight watchers this week - darn married lady weight gain!)
I had my friends over for some great "girl time" and here's what two of them made using my new Silhouette.
Don't you love them! And they each cost about $5!! Those ladies are pretty creative and it was such a great time to be with them, as always! I'm still learning how to use the Silhouette though, vinyl is giving me a problem!
It's just a picture frame now, but just wait to see what it will be! I'm hoping to finish it up this week, but that depends on my final class project.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Quick Update
I apologize for the delay in posting! This week has been really busy! I'm working full time during the day (the new job is going pretty well, it keep me busy!) so my nights are my time to clean, do laundry, craft, spend time with Brett and also cook dinner. So my days are usually pretty full. On Tuesday and Wednesday I was working on a project (post coming soon) and spending time with Brett. Thursday I went to the Louisville Zoo to trick or treat with my adorable nephews (see below for pictures), Friday we went to a Louisville Lightning soccer game (a pro or semi-pro team in Louisville) benefitting breast cancer and yesterday we tailgated and went to the UofL game. And they won!
It has been a pretty busy week, and this one coming up probably will be too. Here are a few pictures I took at the Zoo with my sister Amanda, brother in law Will and two nephews Ethan (3) and Elijah (6 months today!).
Ethan dressed up as a UPS delivery man (like my father in law Dale). Too cute!
The most adorable Shrek ever!!
Mini-Shrek with Shrek and Fiona. Ethan was not sure about them.
Love him!
The family trick or treating
Marching to the music on the yellow brick road.
The Wizard of Oz characters.
Fun in a submarine.
Isn't he adorable?
Couldn't wait before we left to have a sucker.
Flying like Ironman. What a goofy kiddo!
He would watch them put the candy in his pumpkin and then stare at them after. He didn't understand the concept of trick or treating. He did say thank you (mostly) though!
Trying to get in the candy house. No such luck.
Very random, but he would walk up to the ice cream cones and hit his head on it. No clue why!
He had a ball in the old safari van!
Not too sure about the elephant. Aunt Lauren thought it would be a good photo op.

Quick Hello
Just wanted to write a quick post before bed and before a fun weekend. Today was a crazy day at the bank. Won't get into details but there must have been a full moon or something because the customers were a handful!! I was so exhausted & ready to leave at 6:15. Only one more day at the bank before I have about a week off and then start my new job! Yay! Except I'll be going from a part time job, then a week off then to a full time job! Haven't worked full time for more than a week since December so that will be interesting!
Tomorrow we (the husband & two fabulous couples-one with an adorable babe) are going to Huber's Orchard & Restaurant. Besides the decorations and much cooler temps (about 20-30 degrees cooler from 2 weeks ago!) it will really feel like fall! Yay! I plan to come back with some apples to make some yummy apple goodies, recipes courtesy of Martha Stewart's website (my favorite right now!!)
Sunday morning Brett & I are going "tailgating" in the church parking lot...Every fall they have a tailgate for young couple's (or it may be all adults, not sure) ABF classes with good ole food and fellowship. I'm excited! I might make Apple Coffee cake (see above paragraph :D). Yum!
Sunday night we will be attending the celebration service to send off our Pastor to be the President of the NAMB (North American Missions Board). I know the Lord has great things for him and his family there, but he will be missed. No one will replace him as the pastor of the church I was attending when I came to know Christ. Highview has a special place in my heart and so does Brother Kevin's teachings and leadership.
My comfy bed beckons me so I can rest up for a fun weekend. Goodnight & have a wonderful weekend!
