31 Days of Handmade Gifts: Day 15 {Aprons}

Welcome to Day 15! You can find the other 31 Days posts here.

I must say I used to not be a big fan of aprons.  Mostly because I thought they were frumpy and too grandma-ish didn't know that they could be so cute!  Because of being "anti-apron" sometimes when cooking or baking (especially around the holidays when I am making several things at once) I just use my clothes to wipe off my hands.  Oops.  Or I get in a rush and splash something on myself and have to change.  So now I am thinking that aprons are a good thing, and even better when they are cute!  An apron would be a great gift for a girl or woman that loves to bake and cook.  Here are some tutorials that I like.

Ruffles, what could be better?!  One More Moore has a tutorial here for this cute apron.

Here's another short apron without the ruffles, but with a cute bow.  Homemade by Jill offers the tutorial for this apron in an hour here.  I'm all about short projects so I may try this apron first.

And we can't forget aprons for the kiddos!  They are great kitchen helpers (usually)!  The Pleated Poppy has a great tutorial here.  Don't you love the polka dots?  :)

If a full apron is more your thing (or the gift recipients) Sugar Bee Crafts has a great tutorial here.  If you are a fan of the ruffles, you could make the bottom half have ruffles like the first one.

I wanted to include more, but I didn't want to make the post too long (I realized some other 31 Days posts were way long, sorry!!) so here's a link to 24 Free Apron Patterns/Tutorials.  Two of the aprons I shared above are on there but there's some other great ones too.

See you tomorrow for Day 16!
